New High-Priced Dallas Listing - 9727 Audubon Place

9727 Audubon Place is located just off Park Lane near Walnut Hill and Inwood, a well-known area to this blog!  The 13,002 sq. foot French inspired mansion includes a 4 car garage, pool, 4 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, 6 fireplaces, and a price tag not too rare for this area - $13,250,000.  The 2010 appraisal valued to $8,962,260.  Here is a simple Google screen shot I snapped earlier:

Here are some photos Kyle, one of our readers, found. Thanks Kyle:

History in the making

So I don't think there will be a blog out there this weekend that won't post about the royal wedding. How can we not, it is truly a beautiful part of history being made.

How lovely was it? How gorgeous did Kate Catherine look? How amazingly stunning was her dress? And most importantly how happy did they look?

These are some of my favourite photo's from the wedding.

Her dress was absolutely beautiful, designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen. It is the perfect combination of tradition and modernity. Ivory satin bodice (very symbollic of McQueens work) overlayed by hand-cut English lace and Fench Chantilly lace. An interesting fact, the workers of the lace on the dress washed their hands every 30 minutes to keep the lace and threads in pristine condition! Only for a duchess....

Her bouquet of myrtle, lily-of-the-valley, sweet William and hyacinth.

Her sister, Pippa's dress was also designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen. Lovely.

Awww...

Leaving Clarence House to travel to Buckingham Palace for post wedding celebrations. This dress also designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen.

I love their getaway in the Aston Martin Volante.

What a gorgeous couple and I wish them all the happiness.

French Antiques and Flea Market Finds

This house, located in a small village only an hour away from the centre of Paris, used to be a barn and was restored and transformed by Monique, owner of Pigwidgeon, a decorating company. She lives here with her husband and two sons. Every room is brimming with beautiful 18th century antiques and flea market finds. French an whimsical through and through.

Splendid Home in Spain

Decorated by Christine van Hoecke, this beautiful home in Spain with stunning views is both elegant and rustic, bright and airy.
Tour time, my dears!

Terra cotta tiles and wicker furniture in the long, welcoming, porch.

There are arches in almost every room.

A grand foyer with marble floors and a minimum amount of furniture.

Patina on the doors and some of the furniture.

A Chesterfield leather sofa adds warmth to the living room.

A spiral staircase leads to a home office with a balcony overlooking the living room.

I like the addition of the round table and two chairs on the left.

Sevilla tile backsplash adds character to the kitchen.

This is the hallway that leads from the stairs to the master bedroom.

The breathtaking views can be seen both from the sitting area and the master bedroom which have been divided with a low wall.

Another view of the master bedroom and its sitting area.

Exquisite Mediterranean Villa Nestled in Mansfield, Texas - Who Could Be The Owner?

Take Highway 287 south and exit Turner Warnell - welcome to Mansfield, Texas.  Mansfield is known for its country-like atmosphere with close proximity to the DFW Metro; hence, some big-timers flock to Mansfield in search of their paradise estate.  Once clear example is the Mediterranean villa at 2401 Nelson Wyatt Road.  The 11,180 10,700 sq. foot palace is heavily gated with heaping berms so rubberneckers, like myself, are not directly able to view the residence.  Excited to see who the owner was, I readily looked up the address in the appraisal district.

As it turns out, the Tarrant Appraisal District, for privacy reasons, lists high-end residents as "Current Owners" on the owner information thus not providing an owner's name.  "Current Owner" shows to be the owner of 2401 Nelson Wyatt.

BUT WAIT!  We found the owner!  Turns out, its a pastor.  Click here for more.

My picture of the gate - very nice!

Monstrosity Mansion on W. Dove Road in Southlake, Texas

Wowsa!  This behemoth 20,750 sq. foot monstrosity was recently completed back in summer of 2010.  It is the private compound of Bryan Elliot, the founder and President of Sports Promotion Network, a company that makes and distributes sports fan items and products.  The 7 acre lot includes the mega mansion, large private lake in the front, walking trails in the back, wooded areas, and of course a gated entrance.  Some amenities include 5 bedrooms, 10 car garage, large motor court, and pool lounge area.  His estate on W. Dove Road is considered to be on the largest in Southlake.
