Vaquero's New Resident: Glenn Beck? Tea Party Backer and Conservative Glenn Beck Moves to Texas!

Candy Evans breaks the news!  On one of his final shows Monday, Glenn Beck jokingly told Governor Rick Perry, his guest, and viewers that he is making a move to Texas due to its economic growth and state prosperity; as a matter of fact, it is the best place to live.  And one of the best places to live in Texas is where he and his family are headed: Vaquero!  2208 Vaquero Estates Blvd. had been one of the top listings in Vaquero for a couple of months before Beck recently purchased the home.  The Hill Country favorite features 7,900 sq. feet of living space and was on the market for $3.9 million, which Beck is renting for $20,000 a month says Candy Evans over at CandysDirt.  The resort styled lot includes a 4 car garage, 7 bedrooms, 7 1/2 baths, and all the desirable Vaquero amenities.  Welcome to Texas, Beck family!

House of the Year 2009

As you might know, Norwegian Magazine Bolig holds a contest each year to choose the best house of the year. In 2009 the winner was this country house in Hokksund. It consists of three buildings: a main building from 1889, a brewery and a barn. In 2006 the Kvernstad family restored and renovated all three of them.

Perhaps my Norwegian readers could help me with the translation of the words and signs that appear in this house. Please? I did use an online translator but unfortunately they are still quite unreliable.

"Kisses and Hugs and Love" Got the top sentence. Help with the one below?

Thanks to reader Krn I now know that the headboard says (not in Norwegian, but Danish) "Kisses, hugs and love, it is the world's glory"

And Krn expands: "Written language in Norway in the 19th century was the Danish language. This is not surprising to see this on an old norwegian bed."
