When the longest running Governor of Texas, who is currently aspiring to be President, decides to put up his feet and take a much needed rest, you can probably find him here at his Barton Creek residence.  The 5,780 sq. foot estate is heavily encompassed with natural Hill Country trees and rolling hills.  The main home, 4,602 sq. feet, features a southern style with porch and balcony overlooking the front.  A 1,100 sq. foot guest home, cabana with pool, and detached garage are also located on the property.  Oh, and don't try to get in to see the estate.  His neighborhood and his property are both gated.  Located at 8113 Hickory Creek Drive, the estate is appraised at $1,057,522.

The Perry family is temporarily staying in this home while the Texas Governor's Mansion, burned by arson in 2008, is being renovated; it's set to be completed in 2012.
