Celebrity Home - Cameron Diaz

Let's take a look into another celebrity home, this time it's actress Cameron Diaz. 

 

Cameron enlisted the services of one of my favourite designers, Kelly Wearstler to renovated her Manhattan West Village apartment.

And I think it's safe to say it has been designed in true Wearstler style! 

 

 Living Room

Swivel armchair by window, vintage cocktail table and stools and customer wall coverings and rug.

My takeaway - the Murano glass chandelier

 

  Dining Room

Custom made parchment and brass dining table

My takeaway - the 1960's Spanish chandelier

 

 Kitchen

 Green brass trimmed lacquered cabinetry - this is one unique kitchen.

My takeaway - Ooh it's a toss up between the glass chandelier and the backsplash

 

 Master Bedroom

Stylish ruched bedframe, silk wall coverings and  gilded paper on the ceiling.

My takeaway - that plush mohair chair!

 

 Master Bath

Just take this in for a moment as I can imagine some reading this will not be a fan of the bathroom. 

But it is what it is and that is true Kelly style. The walls are sheathed in glass tiles give it that glam look. 

My takeaway - adoring the vanity.

 

 Guest Bedroom

Custom made brass four-poster bed and intricate detailing on the ceiling. 

My takeaway - Love the ceramic garden stool.

Guest Bath

The bath, walls and vanity top and sink all pink Onyx with brass finishes. 

My takeaway - I love the shower stall!

You can see my clear takeaway from most rooms is the lighting, such great choices.

Kelly Wearstler Headquarters

Jealous is the word that comes to mind here! 

There's a story on Refinery29 that takes us inside the headquarters of Designer

(both interiors and fashion) of Kelly Wearstler and introduces us to not only the to-die-for 

working space but some the very lucky people that get to work with her at KW HQ!

This would be my absolute dream to work with such a talented and creative women.

Latest Decorator obsession - White and Gold

Hello dear blogger friends. It was a huge surprise as I saw that my mailbox was flooded with resumes to respond to my need help add! I'll take some time, because there are hundreds, but I promise to answer them all! I will have an enormous task to choose among so many great people whose emails I have already peeked. Will hear from us in the up coming weeks, ok?

Now let me share with you my obsession for week. As a result of the research project I'm doing i found this the greatest thing. Furniture in white with brass! White pieces with brass details are a classic. To me, the greatest vintage piece.

Queridas amigas Bloggers foi com uma enorme surpresa que vi a minha caixa do correio ser inundada de curriculums a responder ao meu apelo!! Vou demorar algum tempo, porque são centenas, mas prometo responder a todas! Agora vou ter um grande drama em escolher entre tantas excelentes profissionais cujos mails já tive oportunidade de espreitar. Terão notícias nas próximas semanas, ok? 

Entretanto aqui fica a minha obsessão desta semana, resultado de uma pesquisa de um projecto que estou a fazer. Mobiliário em branco com detalhes em Latão! Eu sei o que vão dizer... que é uma coisa que existia na casa da avó... ou ... então mas não é o nickel prateado e polido que está na moda?!... Sim também é! O aço escovado é que já era!... Mas as peças com detalhes em latão são um clássico que está sempre actual como peça de inspiração vintage. 

As imagens que se seguem, são de um dos meus espaços favoritos da fabulosa Kelly Wearstler. Adoro os tons e as peças com os detalhes em latão!

they are no where to be found in this country!!...
Anyway they are gorgeous, are they not?

O único problema destas peças é que não se encontram em lado nenhum em Portugal!!!
Mas são lindos não acham?
