Celeb R.E.: Kourtney Kardashian Lists Calabasas Home and Purchases Keyshawn Johnson's Calabasas Home

I am about 11 days late (January 17, 2014) this rumor but got to post it anyway because everyone and their mom is talking about it so cant be left out even though I dont understand how the Kardashian clan is still popular and relevant in pop culture. The news officially broke out by Domainehome.com which revealed that Kourtney Kardashian has decided to list her Calabasas mansion after interior designer, Jeff Andrews, finished decorating this fall.

The home measures 4 Beds/4.5 Baths on 5,400 sqft on a total lot size of 0.52 acres built in 2004 in the exclusive guard-gated Oaks of Calabasas. The home was first listed on January 22, 2014 for $3,499,000 with the following listing description:
East Coast traditional view estate within the prestigious guard-gated Oaks of Calabasas. Dramatically re-imagined by celebrity interior designer Jeff Andrews, and recently featured in several design publications, the home affords approx. 5400 Sq. Ft. The open floor plan provides an entry breezeway and courtyard with detached office/library including built-in book cases and fireplace. The breathtaking formal living room is enhanced by vaulted ceilings. Formal dining room offers wine storage and overlooks the city views. The gourmet kitchen is equipped with all Wolf appliances, 4 dishwasher drawers, cappuccino maker and opens up to the spacious breakfast area and family room. An upstairs bonus room with built-ins services the 3 meticulously detailed secondary bedroom suites. The master bedroom wing features a large sitting area with built-in desk, balcony over looking views, 2 walk in closets, and a spa like bath sheathed in designer marble accents. Rear grounds have a pool, spa, and covered loggia all showcasing the jetliner city views beyond.
Kardashian originally purchased this home on December 3, 2010 for $1.7 million which if sold at today's asking price, translates into a massive gain of $1,799,000 (before any expenses) for barely three years of living in the home. Let's see how long it takes and at what price point for this home to sell.

Kardashian indicated to Domainehome.com that the reason for the listing is to move on and try a new project. Lo and behold a couple of days later and Eonline.com reported that Kardashian was purchasing former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson's 6 Bed/7.75 bath on 11,746 sqft on a total lot size of 1.86 acres mansion (shown above) also in the Oaks of Calabasas for an unknown price which should make moving easier. Johnson has been trying to sell this property since 2011 when it first popped up for $11,995,000 and was removed from the MLS on December 31, 2013 with a list price of $8,495,000. Once the sale price is published, this post will be updated with the latest news. In the meantime, you can view more listing pictures and details regarding Keyshawn Johnson's Calabasas mansion here

And for a history lesson, Kardashian lived in a smaller Calabasas prior to the purchase of the home mentioned in this post. She purchased the home for $829,000 on July 28, 2006 and sold on July 1, 2010 for $700,000 taking a $129,000 loss. The home measures 3 Beds/2.5 Baths on 2,245 sqft on a total lot size of 6,516 sqft built in 1987 (pictures shown below). You can also view the matriarch Kardashian home here and sister Khloe's home in Tarzana which was recently purchased by Big Bang Theory star Kelly Cuoco here

Celeb R.E.: Mexican DJ "El Piolin" Eddie Sotelo Re-Lists Calabasas Mansion Rented by Rapper Tyga

Images courtesy Pinnacle Estate Properties
Back on the MLS after a one year hiatus is the home of Mexican DJ Eddie Sotelo who goes by the moniker "El Piolin" which translates to Tweety Bird that was given to Sotelo as a child. Sotelo has suffered from some negative publicity lately for an alleged sexual harassment with his producer and other staffers which has resulted in the cancellation of his radio show Piolin por lat Manana on Univision's KSCA La Nueva 101.9 FM. But just like any other radio DJ who gets canceled, Sotelo immediately returned to the airwaves via SiriusXM which makes me wonder how many of his fans switched over to XM and purchased subscriptions.

This home was first listed back on March 12, 2012 for $7,450,000 and lo and behold it is now re-listed at $7,275,000 representing a $175,000 difference. The home measures 7 Beds/8 Baths on 9,279 sqft on a total lot size of 0.96 acres built in 2005 which Sotelo purchased fro $5,850,000 on May 31, 2006 at the peak of the last housing bubble which is irrelevant now because this home is asking well above that mark.

For some reason, the listing agent failed to take any decent pictures and blurry one on top of that using either a damaged camera or a really old camera that needs replacing. However, for your viewing pleasure, you can view pictures from the last listing here when I first talked about this listing. Additionally, you can also read about Sotelo's other homes.

And one other random tidbit, it appears that rapper Tyga was recently renting this property according to a TMZ post. So numerous questions came to mind. Does Tyga still live in the home and hence the reason for the lack of interior pictures? Where does Sotelo currently live? And is Sotelo selling due to 1) financial troubles with the loss of his job, 2) Tyga left and the house remains vacant and therefore Sotelo doesnt want to deal with tenants again, or 3) does Sotelo just wants to make a quick buck? Inquiring minds want to know. Sorry for being so damn noisy, just love celebrity real estate.

The listing description states:
PROUDLY PRESENTING AN EXQUISITE MASTERPIECE, CUSTOM BUILT, UNIQUELY DESIGNED "MANSION" NESTLED IN THE PRESTIGIOUS DOUBLE GATED COMMUNITY "THE ESTATES" WITHIN "THE OAKS OF CALABASAS", SITUATED MERELY ON A PRIVATE ONE ACRE FLAT LOT. Celebrity R.E.: Former NBA Star, Mitch Richmond, Lists Calabasas Mansion

Above images courtesy Re/Max Olson & Associates, Inc
As first reported by the always hilarious Your Mama at the Realestalker and then the always informative Lauren Beale at LA Times Hot Property, and now this blog, retired NBA shooting guard, Mitch Richmond, has just listed his Calabasas mansion for $9,495,000 on April 29, 2013. This home is located in the exclusives Estates of the Oaks which is home to many celebrities some of which is discussed at the bottom of this post.

For those who dont follow the NBA, Mitch Richmond was drafted in 1988 by the Golden State Warriors and later won the NBA Rookie of the Year award. He was the 'M' of "Run TMC" with the other first name initials belonging to Tim Hardaway and Chris Mullin that was part of head coach Don Nelson's fast-paced offense that was exciting to watch. He was eventually traded to the Sacramento Kings, Washington Wizards, and the Los Angeles Lakers. While on the Lakers, he won an NBA championship playing off the bench averaging 4 points per game and a total of 4 minutes in the postseason. He was also a 6x NBA All-Star, and an All-Star Game MVP in 1995. Richmond also served his country by winning bronze on the 1988 U.S. Mens National Basketball team that played in the South Korea Summer Olympics. Richmond was also chosen again for the U.S. team in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta winning a gold medal.

The other half of the Mitch Richmond family is Juliannah "Juli" Richmond who has been married to Mitch for 17+ years. She appeared on Season 2 of VH1's reality show, Basketball Wives, starring alongside Kimberli Russell, wife of former NBA star Bryon Russell, who lost their Calabasas mansion to foreclosure discussed on this blog. Juli isnt your typical basketball wife as she is heavily involved in raising kids, supporting charities, and a home decorator. You can read more about her in this interview

And now onto the more interesting stuff like their massive estate.

The home measures 6 Beds/8 Baths on 12,953 sqft on a total lot size of 2.28 acres built in 2006.  The listing description states:
Spectacular world class Mediterranean ideally located in the prestigious guard gated Estates of the Oaks! Located behind the second gates is this striking single level showplace on approx. 2.25 acres! Boasting unobstructed mountain and canyon views, this property provides unparalleled privacy and quality in a truly sensational setting. Spanning nearly 13,000 square feet this grand estate provides every room dreamed of. Sports bar, game room, state of the art theater, office/library, wine cellar and tasting room, beauty salon, meditation/yoga, children's homework room and an awesome gym with steam and sauna can all be found here. Interior appointments include stone and wood floors, two story dramatic wood beamed ceilings, true gourmet kitchen and an awe inspiring master suite. This is truly an amazing house built in grand scale! The grounds are second to none! Huge pool with slide and water features, full court basketball, barbecue center, covered patios, fireplace, separate fire pit and massive manicured lawns all with unobstructed views!! among the homes other attributes are a five car garage, controlled sound system, 5 fireplaces, video security cameras and much more! This is an important estate with a tremendous location!
Property records reveal that this home was purchased  on July 13, 2004 for $1.7 million which most likely means this was a land purchased with the Richmond's custom building a home probably spending another $1 - 2 million which means that they are somewhere in the neighborhood of $3 million invested into this property. If this home were to sell at today's asking price, the Richmonds would profit roughly $6,495,000 before taxes, commissions, carrying costs, and any renovation costs beyond what was estimated for the construction of this home.

The Richmonds are no strangers to the SFV and in particular Calabasas as I will discuss below.

While the home featured in this post was being constructed, the Richmonds lived in a 4 Bed/4 Bath on 4,472 sqft home built in 2004 (shown above) for $1,625,000 and later sold for $1,975,000 on February 13, 2007 earning a profit of $350K before you know what which appears to be after the featured home in this post was built.

Prior to the featured home in this post, the Richmonds lived in a 4 Bed/6 Bath on 8,435 sqft home built in 1997 (shown above) that was purchased on August 17, 2001 for $2,650,000 located in the Mountain View estates of Calabasas (same gated community where Eric Davis short sold, Eazy-E's playhouse was located, Jerry Heller still lives there, and where Bryon and Kimberli Russell's house was foreclosed).

Surprisingly or not, this home was previously owned by NFL star Keyshawn Johnson  who coincidentally is also currently selling an Oaks Calabasas home literally 0.14 miles down the street at the reduced price of $8,895,000 (I somehow missed this Calabasas home when writing up that post). Is that a coincidence or some coordinated effort to bail out of the Oaks? Good luck to whoever sells first.

This home was purchased by a non-celebrity couple for $3.4 million on October 19, 2004 giving the Richmonds a $750K gain before you know what. The non-celebrity couple later ended up selling on August 3, 2007 before the market crashed for $4.7 million earning a $1.3 million gain before you know what to NBA assist machine (3rd all-time) to Mark Jackson and wife Desiree Jackson.

One random note, Jackson, was involved in an extortion scandal in 2012 for an extramarital affair and nude photos taken in 2006. Jackson went to the FBI to handle this drama after he personally tried to squash it using cash to keep a stripper and an accomplice quiet. Oh and by the way, Jackson and his wife are pastors at True Love Worship Center International in Van Nuys. Jackson is currently the head coach for the Golden State Warriors who currently employs Mitch Richmond as a scout. Its definitely a small and connected world.

Mitch Richmond was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he currently still owns a home and most recently sold another. Lets start with the recently sold home.

The home shown above is located in Plantation, Florida which measures 5 Beds/5 Baths on 6,393 sqft built in 1999 and purchased by the Richmonds on August 27, 1999 for $675K and sold on March 6, 2013 for $850K representing a $175K gain.

The other home is currently owned by the Richmonds possibly used by his parents or other family members which is also located in Plantation, Florida. The home measures 4 Beds/2 Baths on 2,997 sqft on a total lot size of 12,978 sqft built in 1989 which was last purchased on October 1989 for $210,800.

The Richmonds possibly lived in other cities while Mitch played for other teams in his NBA career including Granite Bay, CA, Potomac, MD, Delray Beach, FL, Alameda, CA, and Hollywood, FL. This is all pure speculation which I will not be further investigating as I have exhausted this post already.

So the question becomes, where are the Richmond's headed off to after living in Calabasas for more than a decade? Are they downsizing to another Calabasas home?

The Calabasas area is home to many celebrities, athletes, and famous execs as listed below:
  1. Former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson listed his mansion for sale on December 3, 2012 for $10,500,000.
  2. The late Eazy-E's wife, Tomica Woods-Wright, home was recently foreclosed on May 11, 2012 and later sold for $2 million on November 27, 2012.
  3. Justin Bieber recently purchased the former Nicole Murphy (Eddie's ex) on April 6, 2012 for $6.5 million.
  4. El Piolin (Tweety Bird) Eddie Sotelo's listing of his mansion for the just reduced price of $6.8 million
  5. The former Britney Spears rental was sold for $5.4 million on October 19, 2012.
  6. Baseball great Eric Davis home was sold as a short sale on May 4, 2012 for $1.8 million.
  7. Joey Lawrence purchased on December 13, 2011 for $1,442,500.
  8. NBA star Bryon Russell's home was foreclosed and later sold for $1,560,000.
  9. Nearby neighbors include Katherine Jackson and the rest of the family, Travis Barker,  James Wilson's massive ranchCandi Milo (former), Joel Diamond, and Brad Wilk of Rage Against the Machine to name a few.

Celebrity Real Estate: Former NFL Star Keyshawn Johnson Unloading Calabasas Crib

[Update January 29, 2014]: Kourtney Kardashian sold her Calabasas home and purchased the Calabasas home of Keyshawn Johnson also in January 2014 discussed here

[Original Post]:

Back on January 31, 2013, the always hilarious Your Mama at the Realestalker broke news of the re-listed home of former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson in Calabasas.

Keyshawn Johnson (full name is Joseph Keyshawn Johnson) was born in Los Angeles and attended Susan Miller Dorsey High School. He later attended USC in 1994 and 1995 and led the team to victories in the 1995 Cotton Bowl Classic and 1996 Rose Bowl. Keyshawn entered the NFL in 1996 playing for the New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys, and Carolina Panthers retiring in 2007. Keyshawn went out to become an ESPN analyst for Sunday NFL Countdown and Monday Night Countdown.

The home was first listed on December 3, 2012 for $10,500,000 which measures 6 Beds/7.75 Baths on 11,746 sqft on a total lot size of 1.86 acres built in 2011. The listing description states:
SPECTACULAR, NEWER CUSTOM ESTATE LOCATED AT THE TOP OF THE ESTATES AT THE OAKS, ON A HUGE, LUSHLY LANDSCAPED 1.86 ACRE LOT OFFERING PANORAMIC PASTORAL VIEWS, SUPERB QUALITY, AND WONDERFUL PRIVACY! DESIGNED BY RENOWNED ARCHITECT RICHARD LANDRY, FEATURES INCLUDE A BEAUTIFUL CHEF'S KITCHEN WITH DUAL ISLANDS, ADJOINING FAMILY ROOM, BIG MEDIA/GAME ROOM, THEATRE/MULTI-PURPOSE ROOM, STUDY, BONUS ROOM, SPA ROOM, AND MORE. FINISHES INCLUDE STEEL FRAMED WINDOWS AND DOORS, OPENING WALLS OF GLASS, STONE & HARDWOOD FLOORS, IRON & GLASS DOORS, OPEN BEAM CELINGS, ELEVATOR, SAUNA, AND HOUSE SOUND SYSTEM. THE GROUNDS INCLUDE A GATED COURTYARD ENTRY, GATED DRIVEWAY LEADING TO GARAGES FOR 4-CARS PLUS ADDITONAL OFF STREET PARKING, COVERED PATIOS WITH OUTDOOR FIREPLACE, CABANA/GAZEBO, SUNKEN BASKETBALL/SPORTS COURT, POOL, SPA, FRUIT & SHADE TREES, BBQ CENTER, STONE WALKWAYS, AND EXPANSIVE ROLLING LAWNS. NOTHING ELSE LIKE THIS ON THE MARKET!
This isnt the first time Keyshawn has listed this home when he first attempted to unload back on March 11, 2011 for $11,995,000 which was reduced to $10,995,000 on September 22, 2011, and then reduced again on November 5, 2011 for $9.5 million which brings us to the current listing price of $10,500,000. Anyone want to guess on the final selling price?

According to the property records, it appears the Keyshawn acquired this property back on August 31, 2004 for an unknown amount. Based on the build year of 2011, this means Keyshawn hung onto the property as land since 2004 and possibly started constructing his mansion sometime in 2009? This seems odd to me but what do I know.
In addition to the Calabasas home mentioned above, Keyshawn currently owns a Tarzana home measuring 7 Beds/8 Baths on 6,549 sqft on 0.70 acres built in 1995. This home was purchased  on December 26, 1996 for $1,143,000 which is located in the guard gated community of Mulholland Park which also has other famous residents like Chris Lord-Alge, Chris Tucker, and Kloe Kardashian/Lamar Odom.

I am not sure why Keyshawn is selling this home. Its possible he is moving up onto a bigger home or this was simply a real estate flip for his business/real estate firm, First Picks Management based in Thousand Oaks. Whatever the situation, we wish Keyshawn Johnson the best of luck with the highest listed price in the city of Calabasas at the time of writing this post.

The Calabasas area is home to many celebrities, athletes, and famous execs as listed below:
  1. The late Eazy-E's wife, Tomica Woods-Wright, home was recently foreclosed on May 11, 2012 and later sold for $2 million on November 27, 2012.
  2. Justin Bieber recently purchased the former Nicole Murphy (Eddie's ex) on April 6, 2012 for $6.5 million.
  3. El Piolin (Tweety Bird) Eddie Sotelo's listing of his mansion for the just reduced price of $6.8 million
  4. The former Britney Spears rental was sold for $5.4 million on October 19, 2012.
  5. Baseball great Eric Davis home was sold as a short sale on May 4, 2012 for $1.8 million.
  6. Joey Lawrence purchased on December 13, 2011 for $1,442,500.
  7. NBA star Bryon Russell's home was foreclosed and later sold for $1,560,000.
  8. Nearby neighbors include Katherine Jackson and the rest of the family, Travis Barker,  James Wilson's massive ranch, Candi Milo (former), Joel Diamond, and Brad Wilk of Rage Against the Machine to name a few.

Celebrity Real Estate: Another former Britney Spears Rental Available in Calabasas

[Update November 02, 2012]: This home sold for $5.4 million on October 19, 2012 which was $599,000 less than the original price which was completed in roughly 10 months time. However, that doesnt include the previous listings which was originally listed in 2009 for $9.9 million. So this home has been sold for half the original price since 2009. Thats a massive drop!

[Original Post]:

I know I am about 6 months late in reporting this but felt the need to write about it since this is regarding the one and only Britney Spears. Her former Calabasas rental in the super exclusive and well guarded The Estates at the Oaks is currently available located at 25305 Prado De Los Suenos (property website). This property was last purchased on November 12, 2003 for $1,170,011 which I am guessing was a land purchase since the home was built in 2007. Since 2009 the current owners Jose and Regina Leon have been trying to offload with an initial price tag of $9.9 million which has slowly crawled down to a reduced price tag of $5.7 million or close to 50% less. This home was also featured in the Wall Street Journal back on November 18, 2011 regarding mansions and luxury estates hitting the auction block. Somehow the auction idea didnt pan out which started with a $4.5 million bid as the home has been sitting on the market ever since.

Britney Spears rented this home sometime in late 2008 or early 2009 which didnt last too long as she moved on to a Hidden Hills rental owned by Ron Tutor sometime in early 2011 for $25,000/month which I discussed here and also includes a brief overview of the many homes she has either owned or leased in addition to an excellent overview worth reading by Your Mama at the Realestalker back on March 8, 2012. She eventually moved out of the Hidden Hills home in late 2011 for a mansion in the Sherwood County Club area of Thousand Oaks that she is currently leasing to the tune of $25,000/month. So back in March 2012, the real estate market was flooded with former Britney Spears homes consisting of:
  1. Malibu home in the Serra Retreat area that was shared with K-Fed currently available for $13.5 million that was sold by Britney in August 2007 for $10 million to the current sellers.
  2. Beverly Hills home in the Summit where Britney mentally broke down that was a probate sale and sold on May 11, 2012 for either $4,253,000 or $2,126,500 representing a significant loss from the original purchase price by Britney on January 2007 for $6.75 million.
  3. The Calabasas rental discussed in this post.
  4. Hidden Hills rental owned by Ron Tutor currently available for $9,995,000 which was discussed here.

According to the listing, this home measures 6 Beds/7 Baths on 9,211 sqft on a total lot size of 1.2 acres built in 2007:
Lavish & lovely French Chateau on one of the finest view sites in The Estates! Authentically designed around spectacular Interior Courtyard with Antique Limestone Fountain & cast stone fireplace, this remarkable Custom Estate offers the finest imported finishes. Amenities include State of the Art Theatre, True Wine Cellar, Elevator, Grand Master Suite, Full Guest House, Garage with underground Auto Lift, Beautifully Landscaped Grounds & Sparkling Pool with Mosaic-tiled Infinity Spa.

This area has been in the news lately as Justin Bieber recently purchased the former Nicole Murphy (Eddie's ex) on April 6, 2012 for $6.5 million. And not too far away is El Piolin (Tweety Bird) Eddie Sotelo's listing of his mansion for the just reduced prices of $6.8 million

Celebrity Real Estate: Mexican DJ El Piolin (Tweety Bird) Lists Mansion in Calabasas

[Update October 30, 2013]: This home has been re-listed for $7,275,000 with the details view-able in a post here

[Update April 18, 2013]: I am extremely late to this but TMZ reported back in October 2012, that rapper Tyga has purchased this property for $6.5 million. I wasnt able to verify this information with online property records which means he didnt purchase this property or the county is extremely slow at updating this transaction. Its also possible Tyga is renting this home but somehow was misconstrued in the media as being a home purchase. To put things into perspective, Justin Bieber purchased a similar home for the same price and he is a worldwide star. While Tyga is definitely well known in the rap game, I am not sure if he can support a $6 million dollar home. But maybe I am wrong and the adult film he directed is paying dividends.

On a separate note, Eddie "El Piolin" Sotelo sold his Livermore home discussed at the bottom for $465,000 on April 12, 2013 translating into a gain of $84,000 before expenses which is not terrible bad for having first purchased in 2000.

We are a couple of months late on reporting this but the man known as "El Piolin" or Tweety Bird (translated in English) has listed his Calabasas mansion in the exclusive Estates at the Oaks for $7,450,000 on March 12, 2012 which is the second highest listing in Calabasas behind the massive 24 acre ranch of film producer James Wilson at $25 million at the time of this writing.

El Piolin's real name is Eduardo "Eddie" Sotelo who is a Mexican radio personality that stars in his own weekday morning show, Piolin por la Manana, on Univision's KSCA La Nueva 101.9 FM. El Piolin's show is the top ranked morning show in Los Angeles regardless of language and is syndicated in over 50 different markets making it the #1 radio show in the country beating Ryan Seacrest and Howard Stern.  El Piolin is now heard on over 100 Spanish radio stations.

El Piolin's start in the radio business is rather unique as he entered the country illegally in 1986 across the Tijuana desert where he was almost captured by the Border Patrol but managed to hide and jump into the trunk of a waiting car. He eventually landed in Santa Ana where he attended Saddleback High School. After he graduated, his opportunities were slim being undocumented and relied on meager tasks like recycling and washing cars to pay the bills During that time, he practiced his radio persona until he got his big break for a radio station in Corona. He would continue honing his craft and perform his radio shows starting in Oxnard's Radio Laser in 1991, Super X in Sacramento, and Radio Tricolor in San Jose in 1997 before eventually landing at KSCA in LA in 2004.

His story is truly remarkable and proof that hard work pays off and dreams can be reached regardless of any perceived setbacks. El Piolin was ranked in 2006 as one of the 100 most influential people in Southern California by the LA Times and probably a majority of Southern California has never heard of him. He has interviewed prominent figures such as President Barack Obama, entertainer Vicente Fernandez, George Lopez, Oscar de la Hoya, Mel Gibson, and Will Smith. I also recommend reading a Washington Post article from 2006, An Immigrant DJ's Morning in America by Darryl Fears, the Mother Jones July/August 2006 issue, Making Radio Wavesby Sara Catania, and Poder Magazine's November 2006 issue, Piolin Moves the Masses, by Andrea Alegria.

In addition to radio, El Piolin has been cast in several films and TV shows starring in the upcoming Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3, Rob, The Muppets, Family Guy, and A Better Life.

According to the listing, this 7 Bed/9.5 Bath home on 9,279 sqft on a total lot size of slightly under 1 acre built in 2005 states:

This home was last purchased at the peak of the market on May 31, 2006 for $5,850,000. As I have mentioned before, I am surprised to see homes sell for more than the peak price of 2006 especially if the home has not been significantly upgraded justifying the higher price.

In this case, El Piolin intends to sell for $7,450,000 which is about 27% higher than original purchase price during a time when home prices as a whole in the LA area are down 30% - 40%. As a comparison, Justin Bieber recently purchased the former Nicole Murphy (Eddie's ex) on April 6, 2012 for $6.5 million which is just down the street and roughly one month after El Piolin listed his home. However, there is some competition with 2 similar sized homes priced in the mid $5 million price range so we wish El Piolin luck in selling his home at his desired price because he has truly deserved it and also has a cool nickname.

Nearby neighbors include Katherine Jackson and the rest of the family, Travis Barker, Britney Spear's former leased home,  James Wilson's massive ranch, and Brad Wilk of Rage Against the Machine to name a few.

Prior to this home, El Piolin lived in a relatively smaller 5 Bed/7 Bath 4,682 sqft home located directly north in the same gated community. El Piolin purchased this home on March 24, 2003 for $1,081,500 and sold at the peak of the market (which also coincided with his purchase of his current home) for $2,375,000 earning a decent gain of $1,293,500 before taxes, commissions, expenses, etc.

And prior to the above mentioned home, El Piolin lived further up north in Livermore (if my research is correct) assuming when he worked at Radio Tricolor in San Jose. This homes measures a modest 1500 sqft home that was purchased on September 29, 2000 for $381,000 and still continues to be owned by El Piolin I am guessing as an investment property or for relatives.

The reason for this sale and his future home are unknown but I am speculating that El Piolin might be moving across the 101 Freeway to the more exclusive and equestrian friendly enclave known as Hidden Hills. El Piolin may want to consider the massive 3 acre 19,000 sqft Britney Spear's former leased home currently owned by Ron Tutor. Also The Rock's $5 million 9,000 sqft mansion recently became available.
