David Walton and Majandra Delfino List Koreatown Condo

SELLERS: Majandra Delfino and David Walton
LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA
PRICE: $650,000
SIZE: 1,736 square feet, 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms

YOUR MAMAS NOTES: Thanks to a previously unknown real estate canary we'll call Corey A. Towne we've learned that up-and-coming actors Majandra Delfino and David Walton have listed their house sized two bedroom condominium in an historic building in the heart of Los Angeles's (still somewhat gritty) Koreatown nabe with an asking price of $650,000.

The Venezuelan-born and half-Cuban Miz Delfino—with her signature bee stung lips—may be best known for her award winning performance as a privileged junkie in the Oscar-winning indie film Traffic (2000) and her co-starring role on the long ago canceled sci-fi program Roswell. Since then she's popped up on the short-lived series Quarterlife and the also short-lived sit-com State of Georgia with the newly out of the closet former child star Raven-Symoné. Miz Delfino will soon be seen in the t.v. movie The Farm with Rainn Wilson (The Office) and the upcoming sitcom Friends With Better Lives starring James Van Der Beek, Brooklyn Decker, and Kevin Connolly.

In 2011 Miz Delfino married her second husband, tall and slender actor David Walton, who's bounced around Tinseltown since the early 2000s and has a long list of professional credits that include recurring roles on a whole bunch of short-lived t.v. programs such as Heist, Quarterlife, and Perfect Couples as well as the web series 100 Questions. He's perhaps best known, however, for his more recent roles on the sitcoms Bent and the sleeper hit New Girl. He's currently set to star on the small screen opposite Minnie Driver (About a Boy) and on the big screen in Break Point opposite Jeremy Sisto (Suburgatory).

The couple have one child, born mid-2012, and recently announced they're preggers with baby number two, a situation that may or may not have something to do with their decision to sell their recently renovated and and re-decorated digs.

Property records show the Delfino-Walton apartment, located on the second floor at the 1920s Italianate pile dubbed Miramonte Terrace, was purchased by Miz Delfino on her own in late 2003 for $460,000. As it turns out this is not the first time she's attempted to unload the downtown L.A. adjacent condo crib. It was briefly listed in 2011 for $515,000 and in 2010 it was also listed briefly but for an unknown amount.

Current listing details show the spacious spread, a smooth combination of two units with no common walls, has two bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms in 1,736 square feet of sun-splashed interior space.

A long, decidedly glammy entrance hall with chatoyant black and white checkered marble floor leads to an over-sized living room that's ringed by windows and is plenty big enough to accommodate a baby grand piano. The adjacent dining room is just barely big enough for a four-top table and connects through a swinging door to the kitchen which isn't particularly large but is recently remodeled with shiny wood floors, white cabinetry topped by thick slabs of blue and white quartz counter tops, medium grade stainless steel appliances, and a bank of windows over the sink.

The second bedroom has a walk-in closet and (gray) marble bathroom with glassed-in stall shower and the master suite is complete with a larger (green) marble bathroom with bidet and a walk-in closet custom fitted with cobalt blue wall-to-wall carpeting, white lacquer built-in wardrobes, and a built-in make-up vanity.

Other notable features of the apartment include multi-zone heating and cooling system, a built-in office tucked into a closet in the entrance hall, a stacked washer and dryer (also tucked into a closet in the entrance hall), two private storage areas, and dedicated parking for three cars, one in a secured garage and two other in a gated lot. Monthly common charges for the Delfino-Walton combo condo run $495, as per listing details, and residents of the Miramonte Terrace complex have access to amenities that include landscaped grounds and gardens, a basement level meeting and billiard room, and a roof top loggia with long views over the roof tops of Koreatown.

Although Koreatown isn't a neck of the L.A. residential woods known to attract Showbiz types Miramonte Terrace claims a fair number of semi high profile residents. Actress Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty, Devious Maids) and her guitarist/musician husband Noah Lebenzon (of Everything is Energy) sold their nearly 1,500 square foot one bedroom (with den) and 1.5 bathroom apartment in late 2011 for $405,000. (They bought a more family friendly house with a swimming pool and a guest house in the Fryman Canyon area of Los Angeles in late 2010 for $1.78 million.)

Other current owners of condos at Miramonte Terrace according to our informant, Corey A. Towne, and confirmed with property records include KCRW radio personality/producer Matthew Holzman and Emmy-winning choreographer Morleigh Steinberg, a co-founder of the Arcane Collective, who's been married to U2's The Edge since 2002. Also in residence is author Christian Lander who's humorous books include Stuff White People Like and its equally razor sharp Whiter Shades of Pale.
