Magnificent Homes * Casas Magníficas - Palm Springs Beauty

Wow! We definitely set a record on comments on the last giveaway! I will try to do one every week, ok!... Congratulations to the winners!

John Saladino was the designer of what we can call a Desert Rose, his unique style to a desert house in Palm Springs. According to the designer the arid brown tones of the desert scape, and on his first site visit, he quickly developed a thirst for color. From the two palettes he proposed, the clients chose a daring blend of pinks, cream, mustard yellows and magenta.

The result is a beautiful, comfortable, feminine style and I just fell in loooove the mix of the pink, beige and yellow! What about you? What do you think of the colors used in this house?

John Saladino foi o designer deste projecto no deserto de Palm Springs, ao qual já deram o nome de 'Desert Rose'. Segundo o designer os tons áridos e pálidos da paisagem do deserto, precisavam desesperadamente de mais côr, algo que constatou na sua primeira visita ao local. 

Das duas paletas que ele propostas, os clientes escolheram uma mistura ousada de rosa, cremes, e amarelos mostarda e o resultado é um bonito e confortável, estilo feminino e eu adoooorei a mistura dos tons rosa, beije e amarelo!  É uma casa magnífica! E vocês, o que é que acham dos tons desta casa?

Magnificent Homes - Contemporary Meets Classic * Casas Magnificas - Encontro do Clássico Com o Contemporâneo

Yesterday I spent a few hours on real estate websites house hunting for a friend who also has a princess syndrome like me! We were looking for something from 19th century, those very old and very rotten palatial structures but with certain details that can result in something wonderful.

This small palace is set in Paris and it was my dream version reference. I can tell you that in Lisbon there are are also a few of these in need of help... a little out of our budget but who knows we might get lucky. ;)))  

This is indeed a special home where the simplicity of the objects makes it even more impressive classical structure exists. I love the contrast of the classic with the contemporary pieces and neutrals. It is absolutely wonderful!

Ontem passei algumas horas nos sites das imobiliárias, à procura de uma casa para uma amiga, que também tem um síndrome de princesa como eu! Procurávamos algo com o charme da traça antiga e daquelas estruturas apalaçadas muito podres, mas que com as obras certas e bom gosto, podem resultar em algo maravilhoso. 

Este pequeno palacete fica em Paris e era a minha referência em versão sonho,  mas claro que adaptado à nossa realidade económica! Posso dizer-vos que existem tantas destas  relíquias em Lisboa, a precisar de ajuda... com tectos trabalhados, soalho em tábua espinhada, pé direito com 4,20m... mas com um preço meio fora do budget pretendido claro! ;))) 

Esta é de facto uma casa especial, onde a simplicidade dos objectos torna ainda mais imponente, a estrutura clássica existente. Adoro o contraste do clássico com as peças contemporâneas e de tons neutros. É absolutamente maravilhosa!

Magnificent Houses * Casas Magníficas - Sophisticated Bali

August is the Vacation mood in Portugal so I went to my 'places to go one day' files and found this! A very sophisticated and stylish Bali villa — think a sleek and sexy design set against a tropical beachfront atmosphere. The villa is located in Bali, surrounded by natural beauty and just steps from the black volcanic-sand beaches.

It is owned by a Spanish model and a fashion designer, it’s no surprise that this villa’s interiors look straight out of the pages of a magazine. The spacious open main living area features plenty of natural light and is furnished with a comfortable daybed to unwind on as you look out over the garden and pool. 

I just love the daybeds and the two detached bedroom pavilions located on the far side of the garden. The setting is absolutely amazing and worth the blog's magnificent houses feature.

Agosto é o mês do espírito de férias, por isso hoje fui até à minha pasta dos 'lugares a visitar um dia'  e encontrei este exuberante e sofisticado paraíso em Bali! 

Toda a casa está rodeada pela exótica vegetação e beleza natural, mesmo em cima de uma pequena praia de areia vulcânica e diz-se que a casa é de uma conhecida modelo espanhola, por isso não é nenhuma surpresa que os seus interiores pareçam saídos das páginas de uma revista.

O espaçoso núcleo central da casa, todo aberto para os jardins e salas principais estão repletos de luz natural e devidamente decorados com sofás tipo cama, para poder relaxar enquanto se contempla o jardim e a piscina.

Gosto particularmente dos sofás que parecem nascer no jardim, e os dois pavilhões que se levantam em cada lado do eixo central da casa. O cenário é absolutamente incrível e digno da habitual rubrica - Casas Magníficas.

Magnificent Houses - Bali Style * Estilo Bali

I'm in absolute stress mode moving to the new store. Yup! It's what I do on the show every week but this moving thing still gets on my nerves and stresses me like nothing else does. Well, let's do this!

Before I go I just want to show you some absolutely amazing Bali Resort photos where we would all love to go right now, right?! 

I love all the exotic woods and details mixed with the white fabrics and the chandeliers. It's to dye for, isn't it!

Eu estou em modo stress absoluto de mudanças. Quem diria que com tantas obras e mudanças na minha vida de Querido, isto ainda me 'stressa' ao ponto de ficar com dores no estômago. Mas enfim prá frente é o caminho e vamos a isto com muita força!

Hoje não resisti em partillhar as imagens de um resort absolutamente espectacular em Bali, onde todos nós gostaríamos de estar neste momento, verdade? 

Adoro a mistura das madeiras exóticas com detalhes contemporâneos, os panos brancos e os lustres. É de caír pró lado não acham!?

Prometo que mostro fostos assim que a nova LojaQuerido estiver pronta!

Glass Wall? Yes or No? * Parede em Vidro - Sim ou Não?

Dear blogfriends!

I'm very happy to show this idea to those who think that an open plan kitchen it's just something too bad because you can't avoid the smell of food or that you can see the dirty pots and dishes! I usually say... okay... dishes you put them in the dishwasher and smell?... Oh what about the smell!... When you cook the smell goes everywhere in the house anyway... but oh well, Portuguese will take sometime to adjust to the idea. It's a cultural thing you know...

And voila here we have an idea that solves all our problems one glass wall that divides the entire room, allowing visibility and breadth and blocking the damn smells and pans! What do you think about it!?Would you make this choice?!

Ora aqui está a fabulosa ideia para quem acha que..." ahhh e tal... cozinha aberta para a sala não... porque os cheiros nem pensar e ver os tachos sujos nem por isso... e tal..." E pronto! 

Aqui temos uma ideia que resolve todos os nossos problemas. Uma parede em vidro que divide toda a sala, permitindo a visibilidade e amplitude e bloqueando os malditos cheiros e tachos! O que é que acham sobre isto!? Eram capazes de optar por esta solução?!
