It appears that cuckolded Twilight heart throb Rob Pattinson has little interest in living in the rather stunning house in L.A.'s Los Feliz area that he bought in September 2011 for $6,275,000 and shared with his former co-star and girlfriend Kristen Stewart. (Miss Stewart owns a home of her own in a star-stocked gated enclave about 1.5 miles away from RPatt's house in Los Feliz that she snagged in August 2012 for $2.195 million.)
Recent reports by the celebrity and property gossips at E! Online suggest Mister Pattinson recently decamped to a rented macmansion in a gated community in Beverly Hills. One of Your Mama's well-connected snitches—let's call him Mirakle Mike—confirmed that Mister Pattinson did indeed move about a month ago to a house to a guard gated development that's famous for its past and present celebrity residents who include Gwen Stefani, Hilary Duff, Ed McMahon, and Britney Spears.
The house that's been identified by the folks at Zillow as Mister Pattinson's new leased digs were, according to our own research, sold in April (2013) for $3.7 million by a mysterious entity to a non-celebrity. Although we've never been able to prove it 100%, a trusted and very well connected celebrity real estate birdie told us years ago that the house in question was owned by—are you sitting down?—Lisa Marie Presley who quietly leased it to a slew of celebs including Cate Blanchett, Pete Sampras, and Shaquille O'Neal.
We didn't find any evidence of the house in question being listed for lease on the open market and we certainly have no idea how much Mister Pattinson pays for the the leased macmansion but we did find numerous listings on the internets from last June and July (2012) when the previous owner—who may or may not have been Lisa Marie Presley—had it up for lease for $15,000. One listing shows it was actually leased in July 2012 at a rate of $30,000 per month.
Listing details from mid-2012 describe the bulky, vine-draped mac-mansion as "French Mediterranean" in style, and maybe it is. We'll let the children decide on that. The house has five bedrooms and six bathrooms in 5,292 square feet, as per property records and listing details. In addition to the impress-the-guests style double height foyer with dramatic sweeping stairway, listing details show there's also a sunken formal living room with carved stone mantelpiece, a formal dining room, and a library plus a den fitted and kitted with an oak sports bar, a fireplace and a 70-inch flat screen t.v. The U-shaped kitchen has granite floors and counter tops as well as top grade appliances and a breakfast area that opens to the private backyard entertainment area that includes a brick ringed swimming pool and spa.
There are four guest/family bedrooms with private bathrooms on the second floor as well as a roomy master suite complete with fireplace, another 70-in flat screen t.v., and a private terrace that has a bit of city lights view through the thick ring of trees the encircle the backyard. The attached master bathroom has two sinks, a double spa tub (whatever that is), generous closet space and a steam shower with his and her shower heads.
How long Mister Pattinson intends to remain in residence is unknown and Your Mama is absolutely shocked that he would trade in his elegant and sophisticated home in Los Feliz for this run of the mill mac-mansion in an area of Beverly Hills that is so close to Studio City it might as well be Studio City. We're not trashing Studio City—we'll leave that to the L.A.-based zip code snobs out there—we're just saying the house he owns is magnificent and it's really a trade down to be shacking up in this so-called French Mediterranean macmansion.
