Dear Blogfriends,

One of my resolutions for this year was to rethink the changes I want to do on the blog, and as these first three months are a bit less busy, it's time to implement new ideas!

I do want to have more regular features, in addition to the existing ones, and more giveaway days and I am working on some new layout ideas too. What all this implies is just a long time of research and work. The problem is that in addition to the blog I 've been working ten hours a day... (plus two more on the blog). And for those who already follow me for some time , you know how much I devote endless nights to Homestyling, don't you?

I loved it when blogfriend 'Maria Jose Turrion ', (sorry to mention you name directly), made ​​a comment the other day with a simple "Thank you for all your time and dedication".

I felt like kissing this lady, except I don't even know her in person but, I felt so much gratitude because she did realized how much I've dedicated this blog for almost 3 years and how I endeavor to make posts every day even when it's 2 am, and I should be in bed, or when on vacation, I force my family to wait for me in the hotel lobby so I can post on the blog and then go out... And what it costs me to write this text as a whole and then translate it into English, especially when I have to think of expressions that can not be translated literally, and I have to find the right phrase that translates a feeling... This is because the Google translator is such a crap!

I tell you, many sleepless nights because it really gets to me the fact that if I don't post something, some eight thousand people are gonna came here and find nothing new!

If I ever regret it or want to quit? NEVER! Or if you ever spent a week without any posts? NO WAY! This is a serious commitment and it taught me to be more persevering, persistent and dedicated . It is with the deepest sense , I tell you - Thank you all for being on this side , and oblige me to work harder and better.

After this outburst let's feed the eyes! This is a room I found in my research yesterday and loved it! Minhas Queridas Blogamigas e Blogamigos,

Uma das minhas resoluções para este ano foi repensar bem nas mudanças que quero fazer em relação ao blogue, e como estes primeiros três meses do ano são meses de paragem de gravações do Querido, é também altura para pôr em prática novas ideias.

Vamos ter muitas novidades, mais rubricas regulares, para além das que já existem, mais passatempos, mais conteúdos e dicas de decoração. O que tudo isto implica é apenas muito tempo de pesquisa e trabalho, porque de resto, se eu pudesse dedicar metade do meu dia ao blogue, acreditem que o faria. O problema é que para além do blogue eu já trabalho dez horas por dia...(e mais duas no blogue). E para quem já me segue à algum tempo, sabe o quanto dedico noites a fio e dias de férias a este meu terceiro filho, como lhe chamo por graça. 

Adoro quando me escrevem coisas como a minha seguidora 'Maria José Turrion', (desculpe mencionar directamente o seu nome), mas que ainda no outro dia fez um comentário num post com um simples "Obrigada pelo seu tempo e dedicaçao". Só vos digo que me apeteceu dar-lhe beijinhos, pois esta senhora que nem conheço pessoalmente, deve já ter percebido o quanto eu dedico a este blogue há quase 3 anos! O quanto me esforço por fazer posts todos os dias mesmo quando sao 2 da manha, e eu já devia estar rendida aos lençóis, ou quando de férias, obrigo a família a esperar por mim no hall do hotel à espera que acabe de  fazer um post, para sairmos para um passeio... E o que me custa escrever todo um texto como este e depois traduzi-lo para inglês, especialmente quando tenho de pensar em expressões que não podem ser traduzidas à letra, e que tenho de encontrar a frase certa que traduz um sentimento... Isto porque o tradutor à letra do Google é uma bela treta...

 Muita pestana queimada, é o que vos digo! Mas cada vez que penso que as oito mil visitas que tenho em média por dia, vão ao blogue e não encontram nada de novo, fico em nervos... 

Se me arrependo ou tenho vontade de desistir? NUNCA! Ou se alguma vez passei uma semana sem fazer posts? NEM PENSAR! Este é um compromisso sério e que ensinou a ser ainda mais perseverante, persistente e dedicada. É com o mais profundo sentimento que vos digo - Obrigada a todos por estarem desse lado e me obrigarem a trabalhar ainda mais e melhor. 

Depois do desabafo vamos alimentar os olhos! Esta é uma sala que encontrei nas minhas pesquisas de ontem e adorei! Foi fotografada pela Lisa Petrole, e é da autoria da galardoada boutique de design (como se intitulam) LuxDesign.

Magnificent Talent - Sara Richardson

These images have been all over blogworld and I had to show them to my Blogfriends too. 

It's a project by Sara Richardson and she named it 'Grown Uo Condo' and it was done for her 101 HGTV Show. I really relate to her work and also she doeas a TV show like me so I undestand her options pretty well. 

Very nice work she did on such a small room. There is a lot of Living rooms this size in Portugal that is why I thought you would like it!

Estas fotos já correram toda a blogosfera das decoradoras e eu tinha de as mostrar às minhas Blogamig@s também. 

É um projecto da conhecida Sara Richardson, decoradora Canadiana que faz a maior parte dos programas de decoração do HGTV (um canal muito virado para a casa, o design e a decoração, culinária e moda) e com quem tenho uma certa afinidade porque gosto da versatilidade do trabalho dela.  Também faço um programa de televisão por isso consigo perceber as opções e estética que ela usa. 

Adoro a leveza e tons que ela usou, e o uso de peças clássicas e com história que ela fez nesta pequena sala de estar e cozinha. Temos tantas salas com este tamanho em Portugal, que achei que iam gostar de ver o que se pode fazer, numa sala tão pequena e que pode ficar tão bem! Reparem nos detalhes como; uma certa simetria que 'organiza visualmente' um espaço tão pequeno, no espelho que se ergue atrás do sofá e amplia o espaço e na solução da pequena mesa que pode servir para a refeição de 2 pessoas ou como secretária de trabalho de um dos lado, e os tons. É linda, não acham?

Querido Mudei a Casa Tv Show - Before & after

It was aired last night the last episode of 2012 season of my makeover show. For those of you who cannot watch the show the story went like this. Our last show it is always an extra prize from our main Sponsor (LEROY MERLIN) it's like an European Home Depot. They offered an extra bathroom makeover to the funniest video they receive about the show. The project was to be done by another decorator from the team but as a last minute decision an after watching the video were the candidates play Ana Antunes -the decorator- and Gustavo -the host- we decided that it was too funny, and we had to do something more. I'm known in the team and in the show for the one 'who always wants to do an extra room within the 48 hours we have'!! Of course I thought the couple needed a little something more, and off I went to surprise them with one more room - the living room!

As it was for a young couple who loves contemporary and design pieces I called it, neutral vintage living. I must confess that with the record time of 10 days, with so many setbacks and many impossible timings to make the project work I guess I should call it 'neutral vintage miracle'! Yes because a week before recording I had no sofa, no rugs, no coffee tables no shelves, or sideboard, or wallpaper ... I had to redo the project in my head about 10 times... it and voila! it worked and it's probably one of my favorite results for this season of the show and I know that most of the times when you don't have what you wish you get more creative right? I know you are gonna love the mirrored Ikea lack shelves idea!... 

One thing is for sure, to see the happiness and tears of the candidates was that magical full circle moment when I felt that all my anxiety and stress was worth it. Here are the photos.

Foi ontem para o ar, o último episódio desta temporada de 2012, do Querido Mudei a Casa. Para quem não viu a partida que eu preguei aos candidatos, era um projecto executado pelo Luís Pedro para a Casa de Banho, oferecida pela Leroy Merlin, oferecido ao vídeo mais engraçado enviado durante o passatempo 'A Grande Festa da Casa'. Claro que eu achei que o casal precisava de mais qualquer coisinha e lá fui eu surpreendê-los com mais uma divisão! 

Como era para um casal jovem e contemporâneo que aprecia peças vintage chamei-lhe, vintage em neutros. Devo confessar que com o tempo record (10 dias), com tantos contratempos, peças que queria e não havia, outras que não tinham tempo de execução e impossíveis atrás de impossíveis... este projecto deveria chamar-se o 'vintage milagre'!! Sim porque quem acha que os decoradores do Querido Mudei a Casa, conseguem tudo o que querem, e fazem tudo o que querem, não tenham ilusões. Acreditem que uma semana antes de gravar esta sala eu não tinha nem sofá, nem tapetes, nem mesas de apoio, nem estantes, nem aparador, nem papel de parede... 

No final, levei literalmente a ensinadela do destino! Andei o tempo todo em stress a achar que não ia conseguir fazer nada do que queria, nem dar-lhe o ambiente que pretendia, nem ter aquela peça que era fundamental mas tive de refazer tudo e pronto! a coisa deu-se!... e é talvez um dos resultados que mais gosto, e com o qual mais me identifico! Toma lá Ana, que ninguém te manda stressar e achar que não consegues fazer aquilo que tu sabes, que no fim acaba por se resolver! 

Uma coisa é certa ver a felicidade e as lágrimas dos candidatos foi aquele momento mágico em que senti que tudo o que passei e todo o stress valeu a pena. Aqui ficam as fotos.
