NBA's Kenyon Martin Lists 15,000 Sq. Foot Home in Dalworthington Gardens (Arlington)
Well, well, well...look who just listed the largest home in the town of Dalworthington Gardens in Arlington. Kenyon Martin is a basketball player in the NBA, most recently at the LA Clippers according to Wikipedia. Not sure why Martin bought this massive home a few years back, but he REALLY spent the bucks on the remodel. The 15,000 sq. foot home at 3712 Dustin Trail sits in a quiet, upscale community in the small town of Dalworthington Gardens, but very close to the freeway for access to the Metroplex. The estate includes a large pool, 4 lane bowling alley, and of course an outdoor basketball court! It's listed for $5,000,000.

Celebrity Real Estate: Jonah Hill Flips Tarzana Home to Disney Star Selena Gomez
Images courtesy Prudential California Realty |
The rumor mill was filled with reports yesterday that actor Jonah Hill flipped his Tarzana home to Selena Gomez. This information was revealed by the always hilarious Your Mama at the Realestalker via the Zillow Blog, X17online, and Entertainmentwise.com. While this is just rumor as the property records do not reflect any such transaction occurring, we will update you when the opportunity arises.
According to the sources above, Gomez purchased the home for $2.9 million. Jonah Hill purchased this home for $2.175 million on July 14, 2011 which was discussed on this blog (which has more details on the property) giving Mr. Hill a cool profit of $725,000 which is quite amazing given that Mr. Hill has only had the home for barely one year. Maybe the real estate zany days are back. Its possible that Mr. Hill also made significant improvements to the home justifying the higher price but the only available online listing photos are from when Mr. Hill purchased the property back in July 2011 so there is no evidence if the home has indeed been upgraded.
Ms. Gomez was previously living in her parent's home in Encino in a separate condo on the property (see image below). She has been spotted in and out of Encino with her boyfriend Justin Bieber who also just purchased a property in Calabasas (which was the former home of Nicole Murphy discussed on this blog).
Nearby celebrity Tarzana neighbors and architecturally significant properties include:
- Gregory Ain Designed Kaye Residence which was available and currently delisted.
- Bruce Boxleitner and Melissa Gilbert have been trying to sell since 2011.
- Scary Spice of the Spice Girls recently sold a home for $3 million.
- Anton Yelchin's parents and former home.
- A. Quincy Jones Mid Century Modern home.
- Soap star Kristoff St. John owned a 5 Bed/5.5 Bath mansion from 2005 to 2007 who sold it to DJ Paul of the Three 6 Mafia who sold at a loss in 2010.
- Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian
- Chris Tucker

Completely Remodeled Granada Hills Eichler Available for the Reduced Price of $595,000
[Update November 2, 2012]: This home sold for $555,000 on October 22, 2012 which was $114,000 less than the original asking price and was completed in roughly 4 months time. I guess the Eichler homes are not holding value like they used to, this was a big drop for a home in what appears to be almost all original condition.
