Black And White Outdoors

Every once in a while people come to me and talk about this garden I did for the TV show and that I named 'Hotel Chic Garden'. It was about 4 years ago and people still remember that! Today I was looking at pictures and found it. They still look trendy and up to date. That is what is great about black and white, it's never out of date! Boy...I really love Black and White Outdoors!

De vez em quando, quando me abordam na rua, acabam sempre por me falar num jardim que viram no programa a que dei o nome de 'jardim hotel chique'. Foi quase há 4 anos mas parece que ficou na memória de muitas pessoas... Lembram-se? Hoje encontrei as fotos desse jardim e pensei o quanto ele ainda está perfeitamente actual. É a grande vantagem dos tons, nunca passam de moda! E eu simplesmente adoro exteriores em preto e branco!

Gostava de ter fotos melhores mas na altura tinha uma máquina da treta...

The most gratifying thing about this garden is that a couple of years after doing it I was told by some people who knew the family. That it really changed the way they lived, because they were all apart and this place reunited them again in family get togethers.

 That is what is the best thing about my job. 

Knowing that somehow it changed peoples lives.

Alguns anos depois de ter feito este jardim foi curioso ter encontrado uma pessoa que conhecia a família e que me disse que esta transformação fez muito pela família que estava afastada e que com esta transformação finalmente voltaram a reunir-se 

em acontecimentos de família.

Isto é o mais gratificante nesta profissão. 

Saber que de alguma forma mudámos a vida de uma família ou de alguém.

Bom feriado a todos, aproveitem e não se esqueçam que é muito importante mantermos 

as reuniões de família.

Hotels to stay - Hoteis para ficar!

I'm posting from ipad so please forgive the simple and fast post. One of my confidential fantasies ( I guess not so much after this post) is to be able to live in a Hotel one day. Not like a homeless thing in some motel, nooo...more the living in the Hotel penthouse and me one of the owners, type of thing!!

Never undestood this fantasy of mine but maybe because I like the idea of comming down to the bar and meeting people from all over the world everyday! The funny thing is, when I met my husband I found he had the same fantasy! Could that be one of the reasons we've been together for the last 10 years?!

Found this Hotel in Budapest and thought... Yes I could live in this place!!

Estou a fazer este post a partir do ipad por isso perdoem o lay out... Uma das minhas secretas fantasias (bem parece que a partir de hoje não serão assim tao secretas!!) mas como estava a dizer uma das minhas fantasias era viver num hotel! Imaginem!! Nao era tipo sem abrigo nem casa que teve de ir viver para um hotel mas sim do tipo, , ser uma das donas e viver na penthouse do hotel!

Não sei bem porquê mas acho que gosto da ideia de descer ao bar e conhecer pessoas de todo o mundo... O mais engraçado é que quando conheci o meu marido ele também tinha a mesma fantasia!... Deve ser por isso que estamos juntos à 10 anos!!! Lol

Encontrei este hotel em Budapeste pensei: Eu podia viver aqui!

Confy White Winter *** Inverno Confortável em Branco

Who said that white rooms are cold and uncomfortable? What's the trick? It's using textured fabrics, fluffy carpets, confy blankets on the couches and chairs and abuse of warm indirect light. Take a look at the pics and you will agree with me!

Quem disse que as casas em Branco são frias e desconfortáveis? Qual é o truque? É usar tecidos texturados, tapetes fôfos, peles ou mantas nos sofás e nas cadeiras e abusar da luz quente e indirecta.

All these rooms are so airy and cozy. I love them.
