Celebrity Rooms - Leah Michele (Glee)

I noticed today I did not do posts on the 'Celebrity Rooms' label for sometime. This one was kept for some time on my Celebrity folder and it shows the house of one of my favorite actresses (and voices) from the new Hollywood generation.

When the editor at large for Domaine magazine challenged Lea Michele, to do a Californian home restyle production on her West Hollywood bungalow, the only thing the actress was asked for the result to be warm and not touch 'Barbra'.

The result is indeed cozy and relaxed, with some ethnic elements, some vintage, others organic. The actress is said to be feminine but not so much in her home decor. There is actually something very masculine in the choice of chairs and tables, maybe even a little too much for my taste, but I can see the actress eclectic and hipster style around every detail.

Hoje reparei que há algum tempo que não vos mostrava mais um 'Celebrity Rooms'. Este estava guardado há algum tempo, e mostra a casa de uma das minhas actrizes e vozes favoritas, na nova geração de Hollywood. 

Quando a editora da revista Domaine desafiou a Lea Michele, actriz da série Glee para fazer uma produção ao estilo 'Californiano' no seu bungalow em West Hollywood, a única coisa que a actriz pediu foi, para que o resultado fosse acolhedor e que não tocassem na 'Barbra', o livro de Barbara Streisand. 

O resultado é de facto cozy e descontraído, com alguns elementos mais étnicos, outros vintage, outros até orgânicos. A actriz diz-se feminina mas não gosta que a casa tenha essa conotação. Tem qualquer coisa de masculino na escolha dos cadeirões e dos quadros, talvez até um pouco demais para o meu gosto, mas consigo ver o estilo mais hipster da actriz, no ambiente decorado e na mistura alternativa das peças.

Celebrity Rooms - Ralph Lauren Escape in Jamaica

Dream along with me and let me take you on a Celebrity Rooms Trip to Ralph Lauren's Jamaican home...

This has to be one of my all time favorite Ralph Lauren designs, the home he shares with his wife Ricky.  Published in Architectural Digest, their home perfectly simulates what it feels like to live on the ocean... an absolute dream location.

The colour schemes of white, green and tan create the classic Ralph Lauren look. I specially love the use of the sea grass mats and the natural elements of bamboo. The high ceilings allow the tall palms to give the rooms a feeling of expanse. 

This is island style at its very best.

Os próximos três minutos são para sonharem comigo, nesta pequena viagem até à casa de férias do conceituado Ralph Lauren, na Jamaica, mesmo em cima do mar.

Este é provavelmente um dos meus trabalhos favoritos, quando penso no seu estilo clássico e 'intemporal de praia'. Publicadas na Arquitectural Digest, a localização de sonho desta casa, quase que nos leva à sensação de como é viver em cima do oceano. 

O esquema de cores de branco, azuis e verdes e os tons naturais do bambu e do rattan, recriam na perfeição o clássico estilo Ralph Lauren . Gosto especialmente o uso dos tapetes de rattan, os elementos naturais de bambu e os linhos brancos. Já para não falar no uso das palmeiras altas  que permitem a sensação de amplitude.

Este é o estilo da ilhas paradisíacas, no seu melhor.

Espero que tenham gostado desta viagem de sonho em três minutos!

Celebrity Rooms - Katharine Hepburn

In 1999, the American Film Institute named her the greatest screen actress in the history of cinema. She died in 2003 but her career lasted more than seventy years. She received 12 Academy Award nominations for Best Actress, and won four, all for Best Actress, a record still unmatched. She died at 96 and the former estate of legendary actress Katharine Hepburn is now for sale. 

large six-bedroom house is located in the Old Saybrook shoreline community of Connecticut and it was previously sold by 6 million dollars. After renovations since 2005 the asking price is set at 28 million.

Hepburn spent her final years at the house. Take a look at the gorgeous Colonial beach front house.

Ela recebeu 12 nomeações para Oscar de Melhor Actriz, e venceu quatro, todos de Melhor Actriz, um recorde ainda inigualável. Ela morreu em 96 e a antiga propriedade da lendária actriz Katharine Hepburn foi posta à venda.
 

A casa tem seis quartos e está localizado na comunidade de Old Saybrook costa de Connecticut e tinha sido vendida anteriormente por 6 milhões de dólares. Depois depois das recentes renovações desde 2005 o preço subiu para 28 milhões.
 

Hepburn passou seus últimos anos na casa. Vale a pena ver esta casa colonial em frente à praia, absolutamente deslumbrante.

Celebrity Rooms - Rachel Zoe's new house in LA

 Today we are back to Sunday's routine with the usual 'Celebrity Rooms'. This time with the very recent new home of the famous Rachel Zoe and her husband Rodger, in Los Angeles. In fact she not only has an eye for fashion styling, but also for house styling! Imagine that the entire renovation was designed and supervised by the new assistant Jeremiah, who will be part of the program in the new series 'Rachel Zoe's Project'! No way... the boy is tallented ..

Hoje temos mais um 'Celebrity Rooms', que está de volta à rotina dos domingos. Desta vez com a nova e recentíssima casa, da famosa Rachel Zoe e do seu Marido Rodger, em Los Angeles. De facto ela não só tem olho para o Styling de moda, mas também para o Styling da casa!! Imaginem que a remodelação foi toda pensada e supervisionada pelo novo assistente Jeremiah, que vai fazer parte na nova série do programa 'Rachel Zoe's Project' !! Tem jeito o rapaz..
