Celeb R.E.: The Crystal Method's Ken Jordan Unloads Benton Park Designed MCM Home in Encino

Back on August 20, 2013, the always informative Lauren Beale from LA Times Hot Property revealed that Ken Jordan, co-founder of the electronic DJ group, The Crystal Method, has sold his Encino Mid Century Modern home designed by Benton Park on August 16, 2013 for $1.65 million. The home measures 4 Beds/4 Baths on 3,368 sqft on a total lot size of 0.36 acres built in 1964 which was previously purchased on October 21, 2003 for $1,330,000 netting a gain of $320,000 before expenses. 

Believe it or not, I blogged about this property back on June 4, 2013 because of its architectural significance not realizing this home belonged to Ken Jordan. Benton & Park A.I.A. Mid Century Modern Home in Sherman Oaks

This home hit the market on June 27, 2013 for $879,900 which was previously purchased for $655,000 on April 30, 2013 which indicates that the home was flipped but not sure of the condition of this home at the time of the previous purchase. The listing description states:
Benton & Park AIA Mid-Century Modern architectural w/ 10' high ceilings & private pool. Donald Park was a student of, and later an employee of A. Quincy Jones. At the architectural firm of A. Quincy Jones & Frederick Emmons, employees Benton & Park met and later established their own firm by 1956; this is a classic example of the Architects brilliance. There isnt much available on the internet regarding Benton & Park but I believe they also designed the 70's disco/Las Vegas circular home in Encino which recently sold for around $1.9 million on July 28, 2011. Additionally, there is another Benton & Park designed home on Strawberry Drive currently available for $1,629,000 million listed on June 1, 2013.

Benton Park Designed Mid Century Modern Home in Encino

4 Beds/4 Baths on 3,368 sqft on a total lot size of 0.36 acres built in 1964. This home was designed by the architectural firm Benton Park but I am not sure who commissioned them. This home was previously listed on February 28, 2013 for $1,549,000 and has since been bumped up to $1,629,000 on June 1, 2013. The home was previously purchased on October 21, 2003 for $1,330,000.

There isnt much available on the internet regarding Benton/Park but I believe they also designed the 70's disco turned Las Vegas circular home in Encino which recently sold for around $1.9 million on July 28, 2011.

The listing description states:
