Dr. Richard Malouf, Although in Middle of Nasty Medicaid Fraud Accusation, Expanding His Palace Over on Billionaire's Row, Getting Close to Largest Home in Dallas

I've posted about this incredible home before, one that I call Preston Hollow's Palace of Versailles.  It's Dr. Richard Malouf's overpowering palace at 10711 Strait Lane (aka Billionaire's Row).  Me fellow blogger friend Candy Evans over at CandysDirt (great blog) has some stunning pictures of the ongoing transformation.  Yes, Malouf is adding onto his already 15,700 sq. footer.  Its not just a 2,000 sq. foot cabana or guesthouse...it is a whole new gym.  Oh, and an outdoor water park.  Malouf purchased the property to the south of his main house (10600 blk of Strait Ln, the ranchy looking home) and is turning it into a chateau styled gymnasium center!  But that's not all - construction crews are also building a water park complete with a massive pool, water slides, and a lazy river.

As Evans also points out, the lot at 10674 Strait Lane is was 14,280 sq. feet.  Add Malouf's main house of 15,700 sq. feet and you get one massive home.  In fact, Malouf is giving Tom Hicks a run for his money (no pun intended).  Hicks' sprawling estate over at 5555 Walnut Hill Ln is 28,996 sq. feet according to DallasCAD records.  The Malouf Mansion's total square footage when complete will be more than Hicks', making Malouf's the largest home in Dallas.  Not the Dallas area (Champ d'Or still holds that title), but the city of Dallas/Park Cities/Preston Hollow/up there ya know.

But you know what's interesting - taxpayers may be FUNDING all this Strait lane madness.  Yes, you and I. Malouf is in the middle of a big fraud accusation.  I'm no healthcare or Medicaid expert by any means, but I do have enough knowledge to know its big.  We're talking millions and millions in fraudulent money that may be funding Malouf's expansion project.  We will keep you updated on the whole ordeal.  Meanwhile...pics:

Here is the aerial picture of the whole 30,000-somethin' sq. footer from a video screen grab.  That video is below the picture (watch it).
