Moroccan Blue in Paris

Something a bit different for you today, my friends.

Stepping into Conny's home you'd think you were somewhere in Morocco. The truth is that it is located in Saint Maurice, very close to Paris.

A huge studded door Conny purchased in the small town of Chefchaouen, in Rif, Morocco, sets the scene. This blue pigment is typical of the Moroccan style and is repeated in all the rooms.

Plinthes
Conny's collection of hamsa hands, an image used as a sign of protection in many societies throughout history. I wonder if anyone could tell me what the painted sign means? Thanks to reader Mona Sultan who enlightened me, the word on the wall is in Arabic and means "blue".

Have a beautiful Sunday and see you tomorrow!
