Celebrity Real Estate: Debbie Peterson of the Bangles Buys and Sells in Woodland Hills in 2012

Back on March 8, 2012, Debbie Peterson of the all-female 80's pop rock group, The Bangles, quietly sold her long time Woodland Hills home and at the same time purchased another Woodland Hills home.

Debbie along with her sister Vicki (who currently lives in Calabasas) hooked up with Susanna Hoffs in 1980 to form the The Bangles which  was originally named The Colours, followed by The Supersonic Bangs, then The Bangs, and finally The Bangles. According to Wikipedia, the Peterson sisters were both born in Northridge although Vicki's personal bio on The Bangles website says Burbank while Debbie's says Los Angeles. Starting with the home that was sold (shown above), it measured 3 Beds/3 Baths on 2,127 sqft on a total lot size of 9,845 sqft built in 1985. Peterson purchased this home on June 21, 1988 for $330,000 back in the previous mini-bubble days of the housing market. She successfully sold the home for $582,500 on March 8, 2012 netting a gain of $252,500 before taxes, commissions, fees, carrying costs, and any renovation expenses. The listing description is below:

Peterson and family then took the profits from the sale and purchased another Woodland Hills home (shown above) that closed a month later. The home measures 3 Bed/4 Baths on 3,584 sqft on a total lot size of 0.29 acres which was a newly built home with an official build year of 2010. Peterson paid $1,149,000 on April 16, 2012. Unfortunately there are no listing pictures at the time of this posting aside for the front of the house. Below is the listing description:

In addition to the above mentioned properties, it appears although I cannot confirm if this property was sold or purchased is a 2 Bed/2 Bath 1700 sqft built in 2007 Oxnard townhome that was purchased on March 26, 2008 for $500,000 and sold on April 24, 2012 for $365,000 representing a loss of $135,000 or it was the purchase for $365,000.
